The creators observed a strong demand for a Pepe-themed cryptocurrency in the market. Many ERC-20 tokens attempted to fulfill this desire but fell short due to inherent issues with smart contracts and centralization, such as:

Blacklisting of wallets. Dumping of large amounts of tokens, leading to market crashes. High fees and dependence on Ethereum. Centralized control over liquidity pools and token minting. Pepecoin shares the same emission rate as Dogecoin, making it inflationary and encouraging usage. Over time, the inflation rate will decrease as a percentage of the total supply. After the 600,000th block, approximately 5.256 billion coins will be added annually, representing a decreasing percentage of the total supply each year.
