Der Bot gibt in Portal:Studentenverbindung/Neue Artikel per Bot alles an, was er finden kann. Neue Artikel werden nach Prüfung händisch in Portal:Studentenverbindung/Neue Artikel eingetragen, wenn sie allgemein interessant sind. Du kannst da gerne etwas nachtragen. Die Artikel, die der Bot ausspuckt, betreffen weit überwiegend Korporierte. Die sind in der Regel nicht portalrelevant, sondern nur, wenn sie zugleich Studentenhistoriker, Studentenlieddichter etc. sind/waren. Deshalb werden die Artikel händisch eingetragen. ich möchte nur einmal darauf aufmerksam machen, dass sich der Artikel Corps Moenania Würzburg in der lesenwert Kandidatur befindet: Wikipedia:Kandidaturen von Artikeln, Listen und Portalen#Corps Moenania Würzburg Vielleicht kann hier jemand noch etwas zur Verbesserung des Artikels beitragen :)

Im Abschnitt des Portal:Studentenverbindung/Wartung habe ich nun noch den Abschnitt Überblick und darunter drei Unterüberschriften: Übersicht, Aufrufzahlen und Kategorien.

Diese ergeben unter dem Abschnitt Wartung nur mäßig Sinn, daher würde ich diese zu den "normalen" Tabs hinzufügen und ihnen eigene Artikel im Portal schenken. Im Zweifel muss halt eine zweite Zeile dafür begonnen werden. Dort würden meiner Meinung nach auch die Vorlagen des Portals gut hinpassen. --Alrael (Diskussion) 22:58, 21. Derzeit wird ein (neues) Meinungsbild zur Einführung eines Entwurfnamensraums vorbereitet. Was bedeutet eine inhaltliche Annahme für dieses Portal? The English language WikiProject Fraternities and Sororities en:Wikipedia:WikiProject Fraternities and Sororities/en:Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Fraternities and Sororities while generally focusing on US/Canada Greek Letter Organizations (Phi Beta Kappa, Delta Delta Delta, etc) also has recently considered Studentenverbindung to be covered by that wikiproject. Could an English speaking member of this Portal to answer some questions? Various discussions at en:Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Fraternities_and_Sororities#German_groups and below. Questions discussed there, and previously (and coming up in my head). I've read en:Studentenverbindung.

1. For what countries are these types of groups properly referred to as Studentenverbindungen , Germany and Austria, German areas of Switzerland certainly, but would the groups in Hungary, Latvia, Estonia and Poland be referred to by that term?
2. What is proper for the name of the groups, for example Corps Hannovera Göttingen *OR* Hannovera Göttingen (Is Corps part of the common name and/or name for an article?
3. Would a single Studentenverbindung exist across multiple Universities? (That is unclear to me)
4. Would Kösener Senioren-Convents-Verband (for example) be viewed as an "Umbrella Group", the way that en:National Panhellenic Conference is)
5. Are there women's Studentenverbindung ?
6. I'm a little confused on the multiple levels. So AV Berchtoldia Bern is a member of Schweizerischer Studentenverein and then Schweizerischer Studentenverein is a member of Europäischer Kartellverband?

1. In Germany these groups are also referred to by Studentenverbindung, but in their mother tongue - as far as I know - they are called differently. Even though they often have a German history.
2. Corps/Burschenschaft/Turnerschaft/Landsmannschaft/Jägerschaft/Katholische Studentenverbindung/Christliche Studentenverbindung and more are part of the name. They describe the type/the principles of the Studentenverbindung.
3. Normally a single Studentenverbindung dose not exist across multiple. But there are some exceptions. For example Unitas, Wingolf, VVdst are like Umbrella Groups, but they see each other as one Studentenverbindung.
4. Yes, the KSCV ist a umbrella organisation: Korporationsverband. Here are more of them: Liste der Korporationsverbände
5. Yes, there are women's Studentenverbindungen, see: Damenverbindung, Liste der Damenverbindungen; And there are mixed Studentenverbindungen: Gemischte Studentenverbindung, Liste der gemischten Studentenverbindungen
6. AV Berchtoldia Bern is a Studentenverbindung, the Schweizerischer Studentenverein is a Korporationsverband and the Europäischer Kartellverband is Abkommen zwischen Korporationsverbänden

Mensur is not a real duel, but fencing with sharp blades under defined rules, --> en:Academic fencing. A Waffenring is the forum to find partners for fencing a Mensur agreed on, often with fraternities from different umbrellas. In the case the Corps fight exclusively only Corps, as it is at some universities, the ruling body is the CSC, the Conseniors Convent. This rises the question, who is hanging around with whom. I think that by looking at the Fuchsenband/Fuxenband you can see, that somebody is a Fuchs/Fux or by looking at a Burschenband is a Bursch, just like your pins.

Although there are exceptions: Some Burschenschaften (type of Studentenverbindung) do not have Burschenbänder, and some Studentenverbindungen, like the Kartellverband (mostly) or the Unitas do not wear both Fuchsenband/Burschenband.

And to the Mensur: As far as I know there is no such thing in the US, but every Studentenverbindung in Germany is either nichtschlagend, freischlagend, fakultativ schlagend or pflichtschlagend.

And there are even some Schülerverbindungen ("high school Verbindung"), especially in southern Germany and Austria that practice Pennales Fechten.

I think that "Duelling" would be the wrong term in general, because you have to differenciate the academic fencing of today with the historic fencing, which often had a duelling charakter. I would rather propose to use "Academic Fencing Association" or "Academic Fencing Conference" for the German Waffenring (WR) (with all Waffenstudenten, and often without Corps), Conseniorenconvent (CSC) (only Corpsstudenten).

A Waffenring is the forum to find partners for fencing a Mensur to agree on, often with Studentenverbindungen from different umbrellas, but also the same ones. It really depends on the university city you live in:

For example in Tübingen and Würzburg you have one big Waffenring with every academic fencing Studentenverbindung.

In München or Gießen you have your own Conseniorenconvent only for the Corps, and another Waffenring for the other fencing Studentenverbindungen.

And in the Mitteldeutscher CSC and the Norddeutscher CSC the Corps in middle Germany and northern Germany fence together (so many cities that have a Conseniorenconvent together). And the other types of fencing Studentenverbindungen have other Waffenringe.

For now, I just want to copy the template contents, and Corps Arminia München seems to use the most fields including the Farben ones.
