Diskussion:Ludwig (Ravensberg)

The last son Johann - probably Danish.

As Ludwigs last son with Adelheid von Dassel is mentioned: Johann oo Tochter[2] der Grafen von Halland, Nachfahren Waldemars[3]. Is he a confusion with Adelheids son and daughter of her first marriage with Jon (Johannes) Jacobsen (Hvide) (-1240) ? The son is Jon Jonsen Litle (Hvide) (-1257- bef 13 apr 1265) (no wife or children known). The daughter is Cecilie Jonsdatter (Hvide) (- 1257 - bef 15 jul 1260) married to Niels (ca 1218-1251) duke (Herzog) of Northern Halland in present Sweden.

Cecilie and Niels had a son Jacob (ca 1246 - ca 1309) duke of Northern Halland. In 1267 Jacob and his brother Niels and their stepfather Anders (Glug) or (Pincerna) had a case against Otto III of Ravensberg concerning the heritage after Adelheid. This case has been read and interpreted into erroneous family-trees, and maybe we here have one of those errors.

I am interested as a genalogist who stem from this duke Jacob and try to clear up my anceastry.

My sources are:
Danmarks Adels Aarbog 1916: Skarsholm slægten. (incl Northern Halland)
Danmarks adels Aarbog 1893: Galen. s 154.
G Lunau: Huset Nørrehalland, i Medd fra Dansk-skaansk Forening 1956 IV.
- all in Danish ....

Sorry to write in English, but I have forgotten too much of the German grammar...

The second wife Adelheid - her parents.

Ludwigs second wife is mentioned as:
Adelheid von Dassel († 1262/63, mütterlicherseits von Ratzeburg), Tochter des Grafen Adolf I. von Dassel († 1224) und Adelheid von Wassel († 1244).

What I had about her was that her father was a count of Ratzeburg and her mother was a daugter of the count of Kevernberg. Is that simply wrong, or is it a modern critical revision of old knowledge?

My source is
G Lunau: Huset Nørrehalland, i Medd fra Dansk-skaansk Forening 1956 IV.
- still in Danish ....
