Als Trainer des Jahres wird in Schottland jährlich der herausragende Fußballtrainer einer Saison geehrt. Der Trainer des Jahres wird von den Mitgliedern des Verbands Schottischer Fußballjournalisten (engl. Scottish Football Writer’s Association, kurz: SFWA) gewählt und geehrt.

Erfolgreichster Trainer ist Walter Smith, der insgesamt siebenmal zum Trainer des Jahres gewählt wurde. Erster Titelträger war im Jahr 1987 Jim McLean. Der erste ausländische Titelträger war der Nordire Jimmy Nicholl im Jahr 1995.
