Nachdem der Antrag auf ein Botflag in der deutschsprachigen Wikipedia gestellt wurde, können mindestens sieben Tage lang Fragen oder Einwände von der Community vorgebracht werden. Bei Konsens setzen unsere Bürokraten dann das Bot-Flag. Bei Problemen oder auf Wunsch des Botbetreibers kann dieses Flag auch wieder entzogen werden.

In der Regel sind etwa 30 bis 50 Testedits erwünscht. Da Bearbeitungen von Bots ohne Flag in den letzten Änderungen erscheinen, sollten dabei höchstens fünf Bearbeitungen pro Minute erfolgen.

Wenn dein Antrag abgelehnt wurde, setze deinen Bot nicht im Regelbetrieb ein, er könnte sonst gesperrt werden.

Erledigte Botanfragen werden nach zehn Tagen ins Archiv verschoben.

Wie wird ein Archiv angelegt?

Auf dieser Seite werden Abschnitte dienstags automatisch archiviert, wenn sie mit {{Erledigt|1=--~~~~}} markiert sind und ihr jüngster signierter Beitrag mehr als 10 Tage zurückliegt.

If I understand correctly, the bot will be active from now until April 2021.

• Basically this might be done.
• WMDE is supposed to supervise such activities wrt German sites.
• However, I wonder why a bot flag is required and requested here? There is no overwhelming traffic expected, hiding on watchlists is not necessary.
• Policies on other wikis might differ wrt automatic edits, but on dewiki a regular user account might act without bot flag, even if issued without human interaction.

@PerfectesChaos: Our discussion regarding CivilServant on AAF 9/2019 demonstrated that some people would like this bot to undergo formal process before it's used. Okay, the expected activity might be started right now, therefore formal approvement at this stage here might be granted.

However, marking edits as bot action with the side effect of vanishing from watchlists is not reasonable. Still I wonder which purpose the bot flag shall serve.

Limit exceeding is a reason for bot flag, but would be satisfied by limit exception as well.

This page here can only approve the technical and general conditions, but nothing about community expectations on content of messages and whether such interaction is desirable at all.

There seems to be a misunderstanding or incomplete policy specification of the needs for a bot flag. A bot flag is a software property which permits to make unwatched edits and releases from resource limits. Whether any edit is made manually by a human being or generated from any kind of script or software and triggered edit by edit or as a batch job is not detectable.

However, it may be announced on this page here that someone is going to make automatic edits. Wikipedia:Bots #Anforderungen are to be matched anyway; Modus@Template:Bot would be „automatisch“. Bot flag is not required since no unwatched edits are desirable. The template might add a non-flag boolean.
