Stephen Foster

Stephen Foster (1826-1864) was an American songwriter who wrote "Oh! Susanna", "Jeannie With the Light Brown Hair", "My Old Kentucky Home", "Swanee River", and "Camptown Races," among others.

Stephen Foster died, impoverished, in 1864 and was interred in the Allegheny Cemetery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
