Karten in Artikel "Metropolregion Zürich"
Hallo Tschubby.
Gruss --Tschubby (Diskussion) 16:17, 8. Maps of Electoral District
Hi Tschubby, apologies for contacting you here - I didn't find a proper way to send a message. So, first let me congratulate you for your great mapping work! Second, I am a researcher trying to develop high-resolution maps of the electoral districts of Switzerland between 1848 and 1917. I saw that you did create those maps, and I wanted to ask what is your source for them? I mean, what documents/books you used to inform you when creating those maps? Many thanks! --Breet234 (Diskussion) 09:55, 9. Aug. 2024 (CEST)
- Hi @Breet234: the boundaries can be found here: map.geo.admin.ch. The community mutations here: BFS. I don't know if you can also find historical maps of electoral districts. I hope I could help you a little. --Tschubby (Diskussion) 13:29, 9. Aug. 2024 (CEST)
- Hi @Tschubby, that is super helpful, many thanks! I see that those maps have municipality and community boundaries, which is very very useful. One last question: when you created your maps of electoral districts (for example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1848_Swiss_federal_election#/media/File:Wahlkreise_1848.png), where did you find the list of which municipalities/communities belonged to each electoral district? Did you have to go through each of the Federal Laws, or is there a more centralized source? Thanks again for your kind help! --Breet234 (Diskussion) 20:03, 9. Aug. 2024 (CEST)
- Hi @Breet234: the division of the constituencies was made available to me in 2014 by the user Voyager. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer_Diskussion:Tschubby/Archiv_2014#Nationalratswahlkreise. Unfortunately, he deleted the page where you could see the division. Maybe Voyager can help you with how he got the information. Greeting --Tschubby (Diskussion) 20:58, 9. Aug. 2024 (CEST)
- Ah, I see! Many thanks @Tschubby. I think I now know which pages he was talking to. Greetings! --Breet234 (Diskussion) 00:31, 10. Aug. 2024 (CEST)
