24K (Vorlage:Lang-ko) is a South Korean idol group formed under Choeun Entertainment in 2012. They debuted on September 6, 2012, with the mini-album Hurry Up. The current lineup consists of Cory, Sung-oh, Ki-su, Jeong-uk, Dae-il, Jin-hong, Hong-seob, Chang-sun and Hui. For the recent comeback, Sung-oh and Dae-il did not not participate. Hong-seob and Chang-sun were brought in as backup members to remain a seven-member group.[1]

2013: Second mini-album 'U R SO CUTE' In & Out 'Seok June

On April 26, 2013 confirmed that the June Seok member leaves the group. It is confirmed that was absent during the last days and in the performance of day 20 was presented to the group a new member still unconfirmed. The reason for the departure of June Seok group is personal and will be between the agency and him.

24K made its comeback with "U R SO CUTE" after after almost a year since they released their first mini album "Hurry Up (Palliwow)" in September last year. 24K members have participated in the creation of the new album writing his lyrics and choreography. The title song of the same title as the album "U R SO CUTE" which was written and produced by the leader of 24K, Cory, and produced by Dani.

2015: First Single 'Hey You' & Hui and Jin entry Hong

On April 4, the agency 24K, Choeun Entertainment, announced through its official Twitter the title of her new song with a teaser image. the group returned to the cancio "Hey You". April 12 the group return with their new song and two new members.

The boys appeared in the video of "Hey You" masked. Choeun Ent gave no official statement; only it was a surprise. Their faces were revealed on May 31 through Inkigayo. The two come from China, Hui will be responsible for projects in China and Hong Jin (formerly of Double AA) will be the new maknae. Their names were revealed days before her face was known.

2015: Return with their third mini-album 'Super Fly'

A rumor spread online. The theme of this rumor was that there was a video called "a video trying to fight." The video starred two people, one of them an idol, but the person who recorded saying he did not know well who is trataba.No take long for the name came to light 24K. This left some people puzzled, since the group is an ambassador against school violence.

But on September 20, the agency raised the issue Choeun Entertainment. They confirmed they really were 24K video, but also gave other information, turns out that the video was not real, but an advance for the return of the group. 24K return on October 1 with their third mini album which consists of 5 songs, the entire album is arranged, mixed, remastered and produced by one person, the leader of 24K, Cory. The choreography for the title track "Super Fly" was created by Daeil member, who also created the choreography for the group the previous song, "Hey You".

The talented guys show full of energy "Super Fly" an EDM song with a touch of hip-hop with a strong beat. Accompanying "Super Fly" on the new album 24K, there are songs from various genres including hip-hop, alternative rock and pop EDM.

2016: Fourth mini-album and admission of new members

The August 1 in their social networks released photos of the members with information that would comeback soon, days after it was announced that two new members would join in this comeback that would replace inactive members; Changsun and Hongseob.

On August 5 Choeun Entertainment released the teaser video of his digital single "Still 24K" with seven members.

"Still 24K" is described as an EDM song with a European touch. The song is the work of Rainstone music producer who was behind several hits like "Nobody" Wonder Girls, "10 Points out of 10" 2PM and more.

On August 11, 24K launched the powerful and dark music video for his new song, "Still 24K". The dramatic video features the boys performing a robbery at a jewelry store.

Musical style and influences

Upon debut, 24K employed various genres into its music. On the mini-album Hurry Up, the record incorporated pop, trance, dubstep, and industrial into its sound.[3] On the second mini-album U R So Cute, the group incorporated elements of hip hop and electronic dance music into its sound.[4]

Cory has expressed his admiration for hip hop producers Dr. Dre and Teddy Park. Ki-su was influenced by Urban Zakapa, which led to his fascination with R&B and soul music.[3]
